College Station Police — Field Operations
The largest division in the department and the front line of public safety — answering the call 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Uniformed Patrol is the heart of the College Station Police Department and its single largest division. Officers respond to calls for service from residents and visitors around the clock — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — in every neighborhood and corridor of the city.
It is where nearly every CSPD career begins, and it is also home to some of the department’s most specialized work: K9 teams, the Drone Team, a dedicated Traffic Unit, and civilian Police Assistants who take reports by phone and at the front counter so officers can stay in the field.
Marked units answering emergency and non-emergency calls across the city, every shift, every day.
Made up of 4 Officer/K9 teams. K9s are certified to track, search, detect drugs, and apprehend.
7 certified officers operate unmanned aircraft supporting searches, scene overwatch, and critical incidents.
A dedicated motor unit — 6 officers and a sergeant — focused on crash reduction and enforcement.
The Tourism & Entertainment Policing unit — 10 officers and 1 sergeant keeping Northgate and event districts safe.
Civilian professionals who take initial reports and keep sworn officers available for emergencies.
